Capitol City Robotics Launches Leadership Pathways Program to Equip Students for STEM Careers and Leadership Roles
Washington, D.C. — Capitol City Robotics (CCR) proudly announces the launch of its Leadership Pathways Program, a first-of-its-kind model that combines robotics training with progressive leadership opportunities and competitive pay to prepare students for high-demand STEM careers.
The program guides students through a structured progression — Mentor → Intern → Manager-in-Training → Program Manager → Director — with each stage offering new leadership responsibilities and real-world experiences. CCR also introduces a Student Advisory Board, where students take on executive roles like Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Content Officer (CCO), and an Alumni network that keeps graduates engaged as mentors and advocates.
Unlike traditional extracurricular programs, Leadership Pathways integrates paid opportunities into the student journey. Advanced roles receive competitive wages, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent students from accessing high-quality workforce training.
“Our teenagers lead meetings, manage budgets, develop curriculum and coach students. With Leadership Pathways, we’ve taken those experiences and built a clear ladder that shows students how far they can go. And because the roles come with competitive pay, our students don’t have to choose between working a job somewhere else and leading here. They get the chance to do both in a way that prepares them for college and careers.” said Ryan Daza, Executive Founder of Capitol City Robotics. “With the launch of Leadership Pathways, we’re making that commitment clear and structured.”
The program connects students with technical expertise in robotics, aerospace, and advanced technology fields while simultaneously building workforce-ready leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, program management, and public speaking.
CCR’s Leadership Pathways Program represents a national model for how robotics can serve as more than justa workforce pipeline that bridges education, leadership development, and career readiness.
