OUR PROGRAMS

FIRST Tech Challenge

Groups of middle and high school students design, build, and code their own robots using metal components, 3D-printed parts, and electronic control systems. Teams also complete outreach projects as part of the program, where they find ways to contribute positively to the FIRST community. Throughout the season, they create a portfolio where they document their robot progress, who the team is, outreach projects, and more.

At competitions, our teams are paired with other robotics teams to work together to complete a challenge on the field, where they try to earn the most points possible. Participating in this program strengthens teamwork, collaboration, creativity, and other essential skills.

Teams compete at regional competitions for the chance to advance to higher-level competitions. Fields and challenges change yearly, so watch the video below to check out last year's challenge.
