As the Chief Operating Officer, Madeline Karrer manages Capitol City Robotics involvement in events inside and outside of the organization. She gathers volunteers, writes Statements of Work, decides on booth activities, and more, for every event.

Having been a robotics student, mentor, intern, and Head of Fundraising at the organization, she has gained the knowledge and experience to successfully lead in her role.

She hopes to continue to find ways to engage prospective students and families with Capitol City Robotics through fun and interactive activities at the many events it goes to throughout the year.

Madeline Karrer has been involved in Capitol City Robotics since the beginning. She first joined as a student, but has served in several roles for the organization, including mentor, intern, Head of Fundraising, summer camp planning, and more. These leadership roles have given the valuable experience needed in order to lead in her current role.

She is currently a sophomore at DC International school, where she has become deeply involved in clubs and sports. She is a founder and co-president of Sew for Good, a club created with the mission of providing the DC homeless community with handmade blankets made by club members. She has also become involved in the school newspaper, The Dragon Post, where she holds a position as Managing Editor. There, she writes articles, edits students' work, provides feedback, and uses her knowledge on journalistic writing to help club members to create the best work possible. On a similar note, she is a founder and Communications Chair for The Salamander Post, the school's satire newspaper, where she has written articles and led outreach efforts.
